J. Timothy Harlan, DPM, MS, FACFAS

Dr. Harlan began his practice in Phoenix in 1996. Dr. Harlan is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as in Rear Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. He is currently Chief of Podiatry Section, Department of Orthopedics at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Dr. Harlan is an Adjunct Professor at the Podiatry School at Midwestern University and the Assistant Residency Director at Maricopa Medical Center. Phoenix Magazine named Dr. Harlan a Top Doctor in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 – every year the magazine has recognized podiatry. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego and the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara, California. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Arizona. He specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma and sports injuries. His practice also includes comprehensive and personalized treatment for a wide variety of foot and ankle problems.

Dr. Harlan spends his free time in activities involving his two boys and his wife. He is a volunteer coach for the boys’ baseball teams and a counselor for the Boy Scout troop. He and his family spend as much time as they can on the slopes in the winter, both skiing and snowboarding. Summers are spent hiking around the state of Arizona and the Southwest. A family goal is to explore a different National Park each summer. Having lived in Arizona since 1972, his favorite National Park has to be the Grand Canyon!
